Engelmann at the ASIA Water in Kuala Lumpur

Asia Water 2026 has shown how dynamically the Asian market for water and measurement technology is developing. For us, the trade fair offered the perfect opportunity to present innovative solutions and establish new business relationships.

Asia Water 2026 took place from April 7 to 9 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Asia Water is one of the most important trade fairs for water and wastewater technologies in the Asian region. Our colleagues José Calvo and Benedikt Heid were there to make contacts and better understand local market requirements and Malaysia as a hub for the Southeast Asian market.

Strong demand for digital consumption recording

The trade fair was very well attended throughout and attracted trade visitors from all over Asia. The main topics were non-revenue water and loss of water. Efficient collection, transmission and use of consumption data in increasingly networked infrastructures is fundamental to solving both problems. The direct exchange made it clear that there is particularly strong demand for technologies for remote radio reading and digital consumption recording.

Presence in the Asian market further strengthened

The three days of the trade fair were characterized by numerous qualified discussions and new impulses. Engelmann was able to position its solutions in the water and cooling meter sector in a targeted manner in the Asian environment and further expand its own visibility in an important growth market. The feedback from the market confirms the relevance of digital metering systems and provides a solid basis for further activities in the region.
