At the beginning of 2002, the company was taken over by Dr. Hermann Brendecke. With over 30 years of experience in executive positions in company management, development, production and sales he brought new ideas and technologies to Engelmann. All relevant technical, operational and management processes have been optimized, the development capacity expanded, and significant investments made in modern production methods and equipment. Personnel development and training have been integrated as a fundamental part of the continuous improvement process.

We are the specialists for heat meters. With over ten percent of our employees in the development department, our customers will continue in the future to be assured of receiving the most reliable and cost-effective instruments. In our of-ficially approved calibration laboratory for heat and water meters all of our products are calibrated and verified in-house according to the strict rules of the German weights and measures regulations. It goes without saying that we have ISO 9001:2000 certification.

With an annual production of over 240,000 instruments and a market share of over 25 percent, Engelmann Sensor GmbH is today the market leader for residential heat meters. Our heat meters ensure reliable and cost-effective billing for heating costs in 14 countries, including Denmark, France, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Turkey and China.

Major customers market our heat meters under their own name. Numerous competi-tors buy components such as temperature sensors, calculators and flow sensors for their heat meters from us. These facts speak volumes about the indisputed reliability and cost-effectiveness of our products.
